Artisan winemakers on 30 acres of vineyards in the heart of the “Colli Orientali del Friuli” wine region, where a particular microclimate and experienced workmanship create out-of-the-ordinary wines.
The Comelli winery was founded by Paolino Comelli in 1946. Its legacy has been carried on by two generations. Located in the hills of Friuli Colli Orientali, the vineyards consist of 12 hectares of low productivity vines cultivated with state-of-the-art technology and the work of highly skilled local workers. The wines reflect the peculiarity of the land and climate, as well as the dedication that the Comelli family has put into the territory for over sixty years.

Il Roncal is a small estate of 20 hectares set on terraces of Colle Montebello (Montebello Hill), in the heart of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, only 2 miles away from the historical center of Cividale del Friuli (UNESCO site). Here, Martina Moreale carries on the project of her husband Roberto, founder of the winery. Day after day, the land diligently cared for offers its best fruits, harvested to create high-quality wines. In Friulian language, the name “Roncal” means a terraced estate on a hill. Our vineyards are favored by an excellent exposure and the sandstone/marl soil ideal for growing grapes. At Il Roncal, the grape harvest is delayed on purpose in order to pick the grapes when they come to their full ripeness. The process is then carried out within the factory cellars, with traditional methods and under controlled temperature. Here, tradition and modernity live together in harmony. That’s why, for example, near the shiny cold steel basins stand the sweet-smelling oak casks, where the wines mature and the fragrance becomes full-blown.

The owners were already grandparents when they founded the winery in 1928. From the start, they realized that the particular Pocenia soil had great potential. Today, Giuseppe and Luigi treasure the valuable information and cultivate these lands with a great sense of belonging. The winery transmits the simplicity and warmth of a family that offers hospitality in the most classical tradition.

Ronc Soreli means the “Sunny Hill”: the 177-acre estate, of which 103 are vineyards, stretches over the rolling hills of the Friuli Colli Orientali. The rest of the land is an expanse of biodiversity-rich forest, arable crops and the green areas surrounding the winery and the guest accommodation houses (agriturismo). The unique microclimate that distinguishes this area is a mix of different features: first, the Judrio river that flows at the feet of the hills, then, the Bosco Romagno Nature Reserve in the surroundings and, finally, an exceptional exposure to sunlight. The Eocene marl in the soil, the so-called “ponca”, does the rest, imparting a distinct minerality, intense aromas and a good structure to the wines. Among the Cru vineyards, the native Schioppettino di Prepotto and the historical vineyard of Friulano which dates back to 1968, stand out.

Zago agricola is a family-owned estate winery engaged in the winemaking of prosecco doc white sparkling wine, in north-eastern italy, at the heart of the protected area established by the prosecco regulations. zago agricola is the result of a family tradition handed down for five generations.
zago agricola conducts its own vineyard according to the reasoned production. besides, the natural irrigation translates in a stress-free growing and maturation of the grapes. zago agricola produces three prosecco doc wines with a fresh and elegant taste: bottle re-fermented, “on the lees”, where the unfiltered wine ferments and matures in the bottle with its indigenous yeasts; extra dry and brut, sparkling wines according to the long “charmat” method.
