AgriNardella’s estate stretches for many hectares around the lush countryside of San Severo (FG), north of the sunny “Alto Tavoliere” of Apulia. The Nardella family business took its first steps in 1940, thanks to a strong “farming passion”, and the entrepreneurial skills of “Nonno Michele”, grandfather of Michele and Angelo Nardella, the current owners. Currently Nardella’s cellar, fully consistent with the moral and entrepreneurial legacy of “Nonno Michele”, is a technically advanced winery for processing and bottling located in the small village “Boschetto”, and includes almost 20 hectares of fine vineyards, mostly located on the surrounding hills.
Among the grapes varieties grown, the main ones include “Bombino Bianco”, a local ancient white variety. On the other hand, the native “Nero di Troia” and the internationally grown “Pinot Noir”, are the main red varieties used.

The family wine business was founded in 1938, in one of the most beautiful corners of Italy: on the slopes of Monte Cetona, in the heart of the green hills and vineyards of the Tuscan area known as Valdichiana. Today, Barbanera stands for a dynamic and modern operation focused on export to Europe and beyond. Initially concentrated only on wines from Tuscany, the growing demand in recent years for wines from other Italian regions such as Puglia and Sicily has led to a broadening of the range of wines offered as well as a constant process of updating the winery’s technology. As a result and complementing Barbanera’s own lines such as Duca di Saragnano and Barbanera itself, the wines and their packaging can now be tailor-made to suit the customer’s needs. As part of the process of targeting new markets and new trade sectors, the company has also achieved certification in the principal organizational quality control systems: ISO, IFS and BRC. The Barbanera wines regularly win the highest awards in international competitions.

The winery La Maranzana is a cooperative established in 1959 by growers living in Maranzana area. At present, it has around 200 members and owns about 400 hectares of vineyards.
Maranzana is situated on the lovely hills of Piedmont, amidst the bright green vines and woodland. It lies at the heart of the Monferrato area, universally known as a classic wine area. The town belongs to the “Buffer Zone” of the UNESCO World Heritage “Vineyard Lands – Langhe-Roero-Monferrato”. It is here that Piedmont growers produce high-quality DOCG wines.
The grapes of the cooperative‘s members are evaluated according to a quality system from 5 to 30 points.
Thus, the higher the grapes quality, the higher the grapes price. Over the past 10 years, we have consistently focused on low yields and high quality of bottled wines.
The investment in the winery has been significant. Currently the winery La Maranzana uses modern equipment for a controlled winemaking process. High-quality red wines are refined and aged in oak barrels combining technology with tradition.

Francesco, Cataldo’s son, has contributed to the growth and development of the company. He has spent his entire life among barrels and vineyards, following with passion the art of wine making passed down to him by his father. Since 1933, Cantina Valpolicella Negrar has told the story of men and women devoted to the crafting of quality wines: the finest, most sincere expression of an area home to more than 1,729 acres of vineyards.
Their grape producers work with a smile on their face and a keen eye and dedication in a region so beautiful, it remains in one’s heart. Cantina Valpolicella Negrar is a historic cooperative winery with 230 members: families who work under the guidance of a highly qualified team as they live and breathe the poetry of a region that has been farmed with love for generations, the fruit of which becomes wine imbued with history and passion. Our work, however, is not merely growing grapes and making wine, as we have always conducted research alongside institutes and universities in a bid to use the latest technology to combine increasingly better quality with a lovingly crafted product. All the work in our vineyards is carried out by hand in order to leave the local environment and its biodiversity unharmed, to continue the winemaking tradition of the Valpolicella Classica region and be the driving force behind both social and cooperative projects. With great pride, generations of grape producers have tended their vineyards and handed down the region’s history and culture on behalf of Cantina Valpolicella Negrar. They share in the joy of belonging to a cooperative winery staffed by people who love their home and make wine by emulating the tradition and beauty of this generous region.

Sometimes, beautiful things are born in unexpected situations: this can apply to Umberto Notarnicola and Bruno Violo, two men who, despite their origins being traditionally tied to regions of great red wines, were able to create in 1972 one of the most important private wine companies in the province of Rome: Cantine San Marco. Umberto’s and Bruno’s important job and dedication today, over 40 years after the foundation, is matched by that of their sons who are working side by side with them: Danilo Notarnicola and Pietro Violo. Thanks to them, the road to innovation, already undertaken by their fathers, has been taken further by introducing new grape varieties and, at the same time, bringing out the most important native varieties of Lazio.

To represent it, the label shows a prehistoric hunter who, instead of wielding a spear, holds a bunch of grapes in his hand: a fruit picked from the past and projected into the future, a symbol of an unbreakable link between the times passed and those still to come.
The Terra wineries have given life to a careful and accurate selection of nine locally produced wines from Salento. Three different lines, designed to speak through their colors, flavors and fragrances about the history of their homeland though the grapes of Negroamaro, black Malvasia, Primitivo, Verdeca, Susumaniello.

The name Cinciano is, likely, of Roman origin and, maybe, belonged to Gens Cincia. A document dated 1126 attests that a noblewoman, Zaballina ,widow of Ridolfino from Catignano, donates the estate and villa to Gotifredo, Bishop of Florence. along with the castles Catignano and Linari.
Cinciano is property of Garres who bought the estate in 1983. During the past thirty years, renovations and improvements have been carried out and they still continue today. Cinciano is also renewing its vineyards with Sangiovese 100%, the symbol of the Tuscany in the wine world.
The hill stands out in the sun in front of San Gimignano on the opposite side of the valley. It is the last hill at the west border of Chianti Classico. Today, Cinciano extends over an area of 370 acres, 82 of those are vineyards 99 olive trees and the rest is forest. The production focus is on Chianti Classico DOCG wine made with 100% Sangiovese, gently aged in Slavonian oak casks of 660 and 1,320 gallons.

Fattoria di Corsignano is an “eco-compatible” family winery estate located in Castelnuovo Berardenga, the southern area of the Chianti Classico Gallo Nero. It covers 54 acres and produces 40,000 bottles per year. All the energy is provided by solar panels and all the farming is organic. The knowledge of the old wine masters along with the newer techniques give life to the wines of the Fattoria. The care and ties to tradition are highlighted in the use of only native grapes, mainly Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Malvasia Nera and in the selection of the best grapes during the manual harvest along with the accurate manual processing. They are exclusive wines where the attention to detail becomes the important element.

IL Roncal is a small estate of 20 hectares set on terraces of Colle Montebello (Montebello Hill), in the heart of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, only 2 miles away from the historical center of Cividale del Friuli (UNESCO site). Here, Martina Moreale carries on the project of her husband Roberto, founder of the winery. Day after day, the land diligently cared for offers its best fruits, harvested to create high-quality wines. In Friulian language, the name “Roncal” means a terraced estate on a hill. Our vineyards are favored by an excellent exposure and the sandstone/marl soil ideal for growing grapes. At Il Roncal, the grape harvest is delayed on purpose in order to pick the grapes when they come to their full ripeness. The process is then carried out within the factory cellars, with traditional methods and under controlled temperature. Here, tradition and modernity live together in harmony. That’s why, for example, near the shiny cold steel basins stand the sweet-smelling oak casks, where the wines mature and the fragrance becomes full-blown.

La Mesma is a family business meticulously run by the three Rosina sisters: Paola, Francesca and Anna. It is located in Monterotondo (Province of Alessandria) at the very heart of the Gavi DOCG region in Italy.
Nestled in the peaceful, green countryside between Piedmont and Liguria, seemingly far from the sea, the region benefits considerably from coastal influences. The estate’s Gavi La Mesma DOCG production relies on 64 acres of Cortese grape vines planted in fine medium-blend soil on southward exposed hillsides at an altitude of about 984 feet. Their aim is to make expressive wines through hard work on the vineyards and minimal intervention in the cellar. La Mesma wines must preserve varietal integrity, vintage and a sense of place. They are exported all over the world. The farm is a currently in organic conversion. Their goal is to ensure a long and healthy life to their vines. La Mesma encourages biodiversity: their vines are pruned with the Simonit and Sirch method. A final selection of grapes is made during picking, prior to soft pressing.

Le Ginestre is a winery located in the village of Grinzane Cavour, approximately 4 miles from Alba in the Langhe hills in Piedmont, in northwestern Italy. Grinzane Cavour is one of the only villages in this outstanding wine-growing area where Barolo can be produced. In the XVIII century, during the reign of Emmanuel II, most of the land around Grinzane Castle belonged to Count Camillo Benso of Cavour, the political architect of the Unification of Italy and Mayor of our area for 17 years. When the estate was sold, the land was purchased by local farmers, including our forebears. When Franco Audasso took over this smallholding in 1980, he began to sell his wines with the help of his wife, Giulia Vacchetti. Later their children, Gian Luca and Barbara, started working in the company as well. Over the course of the years the initial property has been extended with the acquisition of other vineyards, that have been partly replanted using the clones that are best suited to the type of soil. Franco takes care of the vineyards; Gian Luca manages the cellars and Giulia and Barbara are responsible for sales.

At the Villa Triturris Winery, Luiz Barichello decided to follow the tradition and the selection of the varietals with the valued Sangiovese, and the modern influences with international varieties, Merlot and Cabernet. As pioneer and innovator, he also decided to challenge the territory by planting an entire vineyard with Malbec. The cellar is located at the ground floor of the main house at the center of the amphitheater of vineyards. The space inside is simple and functional, following a philosophy that is not distracted by the large decorations but dedicates all the attention to the production of wine. The modern and practical steel drums sit along the large oak barrels (10 and 50 hectoliters) that give the wine body without creating overly pronounced notes. In these barrels, wines evolve for period of one to three years, then, they rest in the bottle other one to two years.

It produces all types of Lugana wines: Lugana DOP, Lugana Riserva DOP, Lugana Superiore DOP, Lugana Spumante DOP and Lugana Vendemmia Tardiva DOP. Harvesting of the grapes by hand between August and November and the gravity flow technique of wine making are the two mainstays of their production method. The wines Perla del Garda produces, each with its own character and soul, underline the elegance and the freshness of the calcareous clay soil with moraine origin. The decision to certify the production chain is an act of transparency. Since the beginning of 2013, the winery has been considering the possibility of producing healthy and consistent organic grapes with the high quality they expect in their wines. Perla del Garda vineyards spread over 10 acres, all planted with Trebbiano di Lugana grapes.

Produttori Vini Manduria is the oldest active wine cooperative in Apulia. Nowadays, we manage 2,223 acres of vineyard (mainly Primitivo, the most important vine in Apulia). Most of the vines are grown with the traditional sapling syste, by 400 local farmers called “Maestri in Primitivo” (Masters of Primitivo) due to their deep knowledge of this ancient grape. The wine production mainly consists of the indigenous Primitivo but the winery also grows and produces Negroamaro, black and white Malvasia, and Fiano. Currently, the annual production is around 800,000 bottles. The old tanks of the winery host a rich and important ethnographic and anthropological Museum. Its aim is to illustrate and teach about the millenary relationship between Manduria’s peasantry and the art of making wine. Produttori Vini Manduria is an important stage for Italian and foreign wine lovers, who can visit the winery year-round and take part in guided wine tastings and pairings with typical food of rural tradition.

RoncSoreli means the “Sunny Hill”: the 177-acre estate, of which 103 are vineyards, stretches over the rolling hills of the Friuli Colli Orientali. The rest of the land is an expanse of biodiversity-rich forest, arable crops and the green areas surrounding the winery and the guest accommodation houses (agriturismo). The unique microclimate that distinguishes this area is a mix of different features: first, the Judrio river that flows at the feet of the hills, then, the Bosco Romagno Nature Reserve in the surroundings and, finally, an exceptional exposure to sunlight. The Eocene marl in the soil, the so-called “ponca”, does the rest, imparting a distinct minerality, intense aromas and a good structure to the wines. Among the Cru vineyards, the native Schioppettino di Prepotto and the historical vineyard of Friulano which dates back to 1968, stand out.

The origins of the Vallone family’s estate can be traced back to the end of the 17th century when, in 1690, Angelo Vallone in 1690 began acquiring land in Terra d’Otranto, the area known nowadays as Salento. Three centuries later, Vincenzo Vallone established the Santi Dimitri brand with the aim of preserving the cultural and entrepreneurial heritage of the old family business by focusing all efforts on quality production and seeking to instill a territorial identity to its products through extensive research and a careful selection of grape varieties. Since 2014 a new generation of the family is honoring the tradition. Recently, the vineyards have been re-zoned to make sure only the best grapes ultimately make it to the bottle. New agricultural protocols have been introduced to finetune production, respect the needs of the vines – in other words “listen” to them and further reduce chemicals in all stages of production. If we learn to “listen to the vine”, in time it will reward our efforts.

Sasso dei Lupi is a new brand that represents one of the largest wineries in Umbria. It is located in central Italy, close to the worldwide renowned cities of Assisi and Perugia and not far from Florence and Rome.
Sasso dei Lupi was born in September 2008 as a spin-off of one of the leading cooperative wineries of the area that had been producing bulk and bottled wines since 1967. Later on the winery decided to move towards finest-quality wines, renewing production equipment and marketing strategies. The new winery changed its name to Sasso dei Lupi. Nowadays, Sasso dei Lupi counts more than 510 associated vine-growers and its vineyards extend on more than 1,482 acres, mostly located on mild Perugia’s hills. The name Sasso dei Lupi literally means “Wolves’ Rock”; it suggests the wolf as a symbol of uncontaminated woods and landscapes, widely extended on those lands. The wines proposed by Sasso dei Lupi widely represent native grapes as Grechetto, and Sagrantino, as well as international varieties that in Umbria found their perfect environment and expression into fine wines. Sasso dei Lupi is a modern company, ready to provide to the international customer the best trade and marketing support.

Tenuta Marano is a new company born in Guagnano, a small city in the heart of the so-called “Land Of Negroamaro”, as the result of a love story between this land and the Campania businessman Salvatore Marano. A liaison that has been going on for over 30 years during which Marano dedicated himself fully to this land between two seas. The high-quality wine production shows respect for the specificity and sustainability of a land so extraordinarily rich in natural beauties. The production blends tradition and innovation and ensures excellent quality and balance with the environment. The company mission is the production of the utmost quality wines through a carefully controlled and certified productive process. Tenuta Marano’s production is completely rooted in the territory where they grow local grapes and look for a close synergetic cooperation with other wineries nearby. The company properties include vineyards measuring about 37 acres, mostly located in the heart of “Terre Del Negroamaro”. Among them, two gems, two very old “Alberello Pugliese” vineyards: “Il Marchesani” near Guagnano, planted with Negroamaro vines over 55 years old that gives life to their first cru, Tama Salice Salentino DOP Riserva. The other gem, a 60-year old vineyard, is located between Manduria e Avetrana and grows Primitivo di Manduria grapes that produce our second cru, Centovite Primitivo di Manduria DOP. Thirteen winery labels in all, besides the two cru the production includes eleven more references, obtained mostly from the Negroamaro grapes differently elaborated, in blend or in purity (sparkling, white, red or rosè) one more primitivo, a white wine from Verdeca and another one from Chardonnay grapes.

The wines produced in the “heel” of Italy are drawing the attention of wine experts and enthusiasts worldwide. Negroamaro and Primitivo now appear on tables in many of the most important and exclusive restaurants in the world.
Every day, Giuseppe and Luigi Ciotola, two brothers in their early twentie, who have inherited the passion for viticulture from their ancestors, work to balance tradition and innovation.
Torleanzi currently produces six exciting labels – from the fruity whites,Torleanzi IGP and the IGP White Chardonna, to the pleasantly surprising IGT Negramaro Rosato. But Apulian wine is associated with its incredible reds. The Torleanzi Salice Salentino DOC, Negramaro and IGT Primitivo are variations on a single theme: the art of winemaking.

In the XVII century, in the middle of the northwest of the Apulian Murgia, more precisely in a place called Torrevento, a monastery made entirely of stone was built. In 1948, the Liantonio family bought the estate (monastery, cellar and 141 acres of surrounding vineyards) and moved in their wine production and sales business that started in 1920 in Palo del Colle. In this Contrada Torrevento, the winery grew under family management in the beginning and, since 1989, as Azienda Vitivinicola Torrevento. The company has almost 494 acres of its own propriety and 494 acres belonging to other owners but managed by Torrevento on the hills where the imposing an Castel del Monte arises: a famous monument, octagonal in shape, in the middle of the Rural Park of Alta Murgia. The old undergrounds, 26 feet deep, are today perfect places to preserve wine. The ancient stable, recently rebuilt, is a nice place for guests, tourists and wine lovers who visit the winery and taste good wine. Also, the company has at its disposal a hotel, a restaurant, agriturismo bed and breakfast and horse riding facilities. The company policy always aims to preserve the Apulian winery tradition and increase the value of the region and its traditional products. Torrevento will undergo major reconstructions, extensions and technological modernization to promote economic development and growth, respecting the pre-existing original building – creating a perfect union between the old and the new – and respecting the Murgia territory and the fabulous landscape of Castel del Monte. Torrevento has Certification ISO 9001 for the Corporate Quality, ISO 14001 for the Environment Quality and recently BRC and IFS. It is one of the wineries that most takes care of the vinification of the native vineyards and brings a modern point of view to the ancient Apulian traditions. Thanks to the fortunate combination of elements (such as the selection of the variety of the grape, the favorable microclimate, the rocky soil, the modern technology of fermentation, vinification and ageing and, finally, a perfect building for the preservation and ageing of wines) Torrevento manages to enhance and improve the most important native grapes, such as Nero di Troia, Aglianico, Bombino Nero, Bombino Bianco, Pampanuto, Moscato Reale e Moscato, Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera e Negroamaro.

The grapes of Tufara Donvito Wine grow in a very old limestone quarry where, during the Byzantine period, raw materials were extracted for the construction of the castle in Gioia del Colle (Bari) that, at a later stage, was expanded by the Emperor Frederick II. The Apulian artist Gino Donvito, who always evokes historical facts related to Frederick II in his works, decided to commend the beloved emperor not only through art but also through the wine Tufara Donvito, explicitly dedicated to Frederick II. Apulia has been producing wine for one thousand years and, during the Middle Ages, a considerable production was recorded: no wonder that Dante Alighieri, in his writings, describes Apulia as “a thirsty land where the sun turns into wine.” The importance of wine-growing development was also well understood by Frederick II, although he didn’t drink: he had about a thousand grapevines imported from Campania and planted in the Castel del Monte area. The wine Tufara Donvito hides ancient stories, as its vines are deeply rooted in the history of the land to which Gino Donvito and his daughter Luna are immensely bound: “Time not devoted to Land or Art is time wasted.” By taking care of his vineyard, Donvito not only is a passionate winemaker: he is also the artist waiting for inspiration to conceive a new artwork. He signs his art with an olive branch, sending through every work a message of peace that is, at the same time, the tangible mark of his extraordinary love for Apulia.

Vigneti Reale produces a range of fine wines from the deep south of Italy, in the “heel” of the Italian peninsula. Apulia/Salento is an area well known since the ancient Greeks for its rich, fruity and full-bodied wines.
The production focuses on eight labels; seven wines and one Extra Virgin Olive Oil: Primitivo-Zinfandel; Negroamaro; Chardonnay; White Malvasia; Black Malvasia; Malvasia Rosè. All are made to IGT/IGP standards and correspond 100% to the type of grape.
The winery cru is the Santa Croce – Salice Salentino Riserva (DOC/DOP) – made from a blend of Negroamaro and Black Malvasia grapes (80%-20%). It is aged for 12 months in French oak barrique and then 6 months in bottle before release.
The Reale family have owned the property for over one hundred years and have been making wine since the early 20th century. They have a passion for producing only the best wines and, after so many vintages, this makes them one of the most respected wine producers of the entire Apulian region.

Villa Mattielli was founded in 2009 on the beautiful hills of Soave (eastern part of Verona), where their vineyards have deep roots. This ambitious project came true thanks to Roberta Roncolato who, supported by her husband Giacomo, with great dedication and a courageous vision of the future, decides to pave the way for a new brand carrying on the four generations of the family’s wine tradition. The vineyards of the family, dating back to the early 1900s, are located on the hills of Verona in the areas of Soave and Valpolicella. Thanks to the unique terroir of these lands, the mild climate and a good sun exposure, the quality of the grapes yields great wines. Villa Mattielli is devoted to the traditions of the land but open their arms to innovation. They put passion and professionalism in the production of their wines, present on local and international markets.

“Vini Menhir Salento” is a young winery founded by Gaetano Marangelli. It produced its first wines in 2005. The company takes pride in telling the story of the territory located in the Southern part of Apulia, Salento, specifically, the areas of Minervino di Lecce, Maglie, and Otranto, close to the Adriatic coast. In a short time, Marangelli has successfully created a comprehensive system of terroir, vines, nature, hospitality and high-quality cuisine. In 2011, the company opened ‘Origano – Osteria & Store’, a mix of hospitality, quality contemporary cuisine and great wines. Origano sources many of the ingredients from a local organic farm.
Menhir Salento has always used natural and organic viticulture and enological processes that respect the traditions of local winemaking, while emphasizing the uniqueness of Apuglian autochthonous grapes (Primitivo, Negroamaro, Susumaniello, Aleatico, Fiano, and Verdeca). The result is elegant wine, characterized by structure and balance: N. Zero (100% Negroamaro), Quota 31 (100% Primitivo), Pietra (60% Primitivo and 40% Susumaniello), Pietra Susumaniello (100% Susumaniello), Salice Salentino DOC and Salice Salentino Riserva DOC (80% Negroamaro and 20% Malvasia). The company exports to over 40 foreign markets.

Attivita’ Prestata Nell’ambito Del Programma Promozionale Denominato “Friuli Future Wines VII” proposto Da I.Ter – Rif. Contratto Friuli Venezia Giulia 3 2016/2017

Giorgio Zaglia Winery produces quality wines in Friuli, in the far northeast of Italy in the Latisana DOC wines area, where the existence of a consolidated winemaking tradition is unquestionable. The estate, stretching across a surface of about 30 hectares, is situated in the area of Precenicco and Pocenia, in the southwest of the Province of Udine between the Stella and the Tagliamento rivers, where the clay soil, rich in mineral salts, and the nearby Adriatic Sea, producing warm and salty air currents, create an extraordinary microclimate ideal for vine growing. The vines are grown according to low environmental impact standards: the grapes are picked strictly by hand; the vinification, based on refined physical techniques rather than chemical, is implemented in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature. Eventually, the ageing process both in steel and barrique gives birth to a series of balanced white and red classical wines from Friuli with appreciated genuine and noble features.
The winery offers tastings of its wines in the restaurant cellar.
